The probable cause statement filed in the Camden County Courthouse indicates that 38-year-old Joel Stoner befriended the unidentified female and her family so he could be closer to her.

    A Climax Springs woman is dead after a one-vehicle accident on north Highway-7 near Bollinger Creek Road in Camden County. The Highway Patrol report says it happened around 4:00 Wednesday afternoon when a pick-up driven by 76-year-old Joyce Ossler crossed over the center before traveling off the road striking a culvert and a tree.

Presiding Commissioner Greg Hasty says, in the past, districts such as School of the Osage and Camdenton benefitted from improved roadways and developments which, in turn, resulted in higher property taxesa a pattern that could send other school districts like Macks Creek, Climax Springs and Stoutland down the same road.
