    CLEMSON, S.C. A charge has been upgraded against a North Carolina man accused in the vandalism to Howard's Rock inside Clemson University's football stadium. Prosecutor Walt Wilkins said in a release Wednesday that 20-year-old Micah Rogers of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina, is now charged with grand larceny and malicious injury to property valued at more than $10,000.

    CLEMSON, S.C. Clemson has locked up defensive coordinator Brent Venables through 2018, the school announcing a new four-year contract with the head of the Tigers' top-ranked D. The school said Friday that Clemson's eight other assistant coaches agreed to two-year deals, including new co-offensive coordinators Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott. Athletic spokesman Joe Galbraith said financial details about the contracts would not be available until Monday.

Swinney said the Tigers star freshman played with a torn ACL in a 35-17 victory over rival South Carolina on Nov. 29. The coach said then that Watson would be available for the bowl game.
