    Shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon, the Grayson County Sheriff's Office, Leitchfield Fire Department, Grayson County EMS, and Grayson County Coroner's Office responded to the railroad crossing on Blackrock Drive in Leitchfield on a reported vehicle versus train crash. Leading up to the collision, a white Honda Accord, driven by 63-year-old Phyllis Minton, of Clarkson, was travelling up Blackrock Drive when it crossed the railroad tracks into the path of an oncoming train. 1 comment

    The Clarkson Police Department, assisted by the Grayson County Sheriff's Office and the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force, searched a residence near the 700 block of Old Leitchfield Road in Clarkson on Thursday and located a methamphetamine lab and a measurable amount of methamphetamine, according to Clarkson Police Chief Buck Meredith. 41-year-old Darrick Childress, of Leitchfield, and 43-year-old Andrea Langley, of Big Clifty, were both arrested in relation to the incident.

Hosparus Manager Annette Jones said that when patients receive the care blankets, they are astonished that someone would just give the blankets to them, expecting nothing in return.
