    After seeing the District 7-A tournament pushed back a day because of rain, Monterey punched its ticket to the Region 4-A tournament by beating Clarkrange 6-1 in the losers bracket finals at MHS. The Wildcats then jumped on Jackson County for a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the third inning, only to see the district championship matchup delayed because of heavy rain that hit the area.
