The board approved a $17,232 revolving loan application requested by Joel and Shirley Pate for the purchase of a new roof at their property located at 709 7th St. The Pate's property is commercial, housing businesses such as their shop, Chipley Florist & Gifts.

    The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southwestern HoustonCounty and southeastern GenevaCounty in southeastern Alabama and for northeastern Washington, Holmes and northwestern JacksonCounties in the panhandle of Florida until 4:45 p.m. At 3:58 p.m., the National Weather Service detected a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 m.p.h. These storms were located along a line extending from Graceville to near Geneva and moving south at 25 m.p.h. Locations impacted include Chipley, Bonifay, Geneva, Graceville, Hartford, Ponce de Leon, Caryville, Esto, Madrid, Westville, Campbellton, Noma, Black, Somerset, Barker Store, Richter Crossroads, Southern Junction, Baker Settlement, Hickory Hill and New Hope.
