California Highway Patrol officials expected to arrest Matthew Kitakis, 32, upon his release from a hospital, where he was being treated for injuries suffered in the 9:50 p.m. crash on the southbound 57 Freeway at Arrow Highway in San Dimas, CHP Officer Richard McAllister said.

    CHINO >> The Freedom from Religion Foundation has filed an amended complaint with a total of 23 plaintiffs on the lawsuit against the Chino Valley Unified School District board saying it should halt prayers and other religious conduct during meetings. The original lawsuit was filed Nov. 13 and states that, “the meetings resemble a church service more than a school board meeting, complete with Bible readings by the Board members, Bible quotations by Board members, and other statements by Board members promoting the Christian religion.” The suit claims that the plaintiffs have been deprived under both the United States and the California Constitutions.

    Three Los Angeles men were arrested Wednesday following a home burglary in the 14500 block of Reservoir Place in Chino Hills, San Bernardino County sheriff's officials said. Shortly before noon, Evan Blakely, 34, Michael Billingsley, 35 and Lloyd Girard, 33, were taken into custody after a neighbor spotted the crew running from a home and jumping into a getaway vehicle, authorities said in a news release Thursday.
