    In line with it's focus on specialty treatments, Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals said Monday it will buy privately held immunotherapy company Therakos Inc. for about $1.33 billion. Dublin, Ireland-based Mallinckrodt, which has its U.S. headquarters in St. Louis, said it reached an agreement with The Gores Group , the investment firm that currently owns West Chester, Pennsylvania-based Therakos.

    The holding company of long-struggling West Chester, Pa.-based Stonebridge Bank said it has filed for Chapter 11 protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Philadelphia with plans to sell the bank in a sale under section 363 of the federal bankruptcy code to the highest and best bidder. Stonebridge Financial Corp. said will sell the bank subsidiary to "significantly strengthen the bank's balance sheet and improve its financial position as a well-capitalized bank."
