Bryan Barbin, D-Cambria/Somerset, announced a $500,000 grant to build a trail and sidewalks project to allow access for students to bike and walk from UPJ, Penn Highlands Community College and the Richland School District to the Richland shopping center. Wayne Langerholc, we were able to make this project a top priority with the governor because of the safety and economic development issues," The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure that a safe and reliable system of transportation is available to the residents of the commonwealth.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, where a rosary will be recited on Friday.

    A Chest Springs man is charged with indecent assault by forcible compulsion and related offenses for allegedly grabbing a woman's breasts and trying to kiss her without her consent. Warren J. Schenk, 63, of the 100 block of Union Street, was arraigned Wednesday morning after a woman accused him of harassing and groping her on multiple occasions from May to August.
