    The Cheshire Town Council approved what members described as a middle ground budget on Tuesday evening, approving what amounts to $2.3 million in new spending and a total operating budget of a little more than $105 million for the next fiscal year. The Council actually approved approximately $3 million in spending, but some of that was offset by a $900,000 in debt services.
