    Chesapeake police said officers tried to stop a vehicle with tags not on file with DMV around the intersection of Providence Road and Sparrow Road just before 12:30 a.m. The driver did not stop, leading to a chase that crossed into Norfolk. A police spokesperson said the chase continued until the car reached a dead-end on Dayton Court just after 1 a.m. There was no crash and no injuries in the incident.
