    An Eastern Washington University student was beaten with a baseball bat and left for dead at a Cheney apartment complex. According to the affidavit of facts, Robert "Drew" Schreiber, 20, was assaulted by three people on the basketball court in the Grove Apartments complex just after midnight on Saturday, Oct. 8. A witness said Schreiber jumped on the back of a Nissan Altima and broke out the rear window with his knee.
