    A 59-year-old man was struck by a Jeep while crossing Glen Avenue early Thursday morning, and was taken to a Boston hospital by medical helicopter with suspected head trauma, police said. Sgt. Jason Hanscom said Michael Hassett, who lives in an apartment on Glen Avenue, was returning home and was struck by a Jeep shortly before 5:45 a.m. A preliminary investigation indicates the driver, 40-year-old Jason Fraize of Lowell, was making a left turn from Chelmsford Street onto Glen Avenue when he struck Hassett, Police Chief Jim Spinney said in a statement.
