Laying motionless in his hospital bed at Boston Medical Center on Friday afternoon, the 27-year-old Tyngsboro man -- his head shaved and wires and IVs attached to his body -- was arraigned on charges in connection with the July 16 incident in Chelmsford.

    Michael Clark lay motionless in his bed at a Boston hospital Friday afternoon as he was arraigned on charges that resulted in his being shot in the head twice after allegedly dragging a Chelmsford police officer with a stolen car. Defense attorney Thomas Combs entered a plea of not guilty on Clark's behalf to numerous charges, including assault with intent to murder, in connection with the July 16 incident in Chelmsford.
