    On Jan. 12, firefighters from Chatham, Harwich and Orleans responded to 246 Stage Island Road for a fire at a $2.4 million house and discovered a man's body inside. Flames coming from the home were seen from a mile away, according to fire officials.  The attorney, Mickey Sherman, was representing George in Connecticut on charges that he assaulted his wife, fracturing her jaw, on March 10 and months later, on July 14, violated a protective order by calling her 13 times in one day.

He was ordered held without bail after his arraignment Jan. 12 and that order was continued after a dangerousness hearing Friday.
