    Erin Kyllo was hired as the new Kasson-Mantorville Middle School principal after the departure of Michelle Krell, who took a position in Owatonna. The K-M School District began searching for a new principal after Krell resigned April 28. Twenty-five candidates applied for the position, but school officials said it became clear Kyllo would be a perfect fit for the job.

    Relatives of a woman fatally shot by a Chaska police officer in 2015 has agreed to settle their lawsuit against the city for $1.7 million. Thirty-four-year-old Dawn Marie Pfister, of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and her boyfriend, Matthew Serbus, were fatally shot on Highway 212 in Eden Prairie following a high speed chase.

The agreement for members of the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers local includes a 3 percent raise the first four years and a 2.7 percent hike the last year.

Members of the Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers local are voting on a contract that includes a 3 percent raise the first four years and a 2.7 percent hike the last year. The union says American Crystal has also added a signing bonus of $2,250.
