    Police responded shortly after 2 a.m. to a report of gunfire between two vehicles on Taylor Street near Elder Street, according to North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor. When officers arrived in the area of the Russeldale community where an officer reported hearing gunshots while he handled an unrelated call, they found a dark-colored SUV crashed into a building on James Bell Drive near Rivers Avenue, just a block from Taylor Street where the initial gunfire had been reported.
