A man crossing U.S. Route 422 in Geauga County Friday was struck and killed by a driver from Warren, according to a news release from the Chardon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. James Carter, 76, Maple Heights, was crossing to the north side of the road just east of state Route 528 when he was struck and killed about 5:40 a.m., according to the patrol. Comment?
