    Suffolk police have arrested a Centereach man who, they said, was tampering with red-light cameras in Ronkonkoma to prevent them from documenting traffic violations. Stephen Ruth, 42, of Stewart Circle, was arrested at his home by Sixth Precinct Crime Sections officers at about 4 p.m. Tuesday based on anonymous tips about a video posted on social media that showed a man manipulating the red-light...     New Jersey state police say a Pennsylvania man and a New York teenager were killed when a sport utility vehicle crashed into the back of a dump truck stopped on the shoulder of Route 80. The accident occurred in the highway's eastbound lanes, near exit 53. Authorities say 37-year-old Michael Lavecchia, of East Stroudsburg, was driving the SUV when he lost control of the vehicle. Lavecchia was pronounced dead at the scene, while the teen - identified only as a Centereach, New York resident - later died at a hospital.
