    October 23, 2018 - Suffolk County Police today arrested a teenage male who spray painted a swastika inside of a Centereach department store on October 9. The teenage male entered Target, located at 265 Pond Path, on October 9, at approximately 8:20 p.m. and spray painted a swastika on shelving inside the store . After an investigation by detectives and with help from the public, the male, 17, of Mount Sinai , was arrested today and charged with Making Graffiti.

    A motorcyclist was killed Friday when he collided with a vehicle making an illegal U-turn in Centereach, Suffolk police said. George Kellerman, 58, of Shearwater Way in Centereach, was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson northbound at around 11 a.m. when he crashed into a 2004 Toyota that was making an unlawful turn in front of 83 Horseblock Road, investigators said.

    Suffolk County Police Department 6th squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist in Centereach Oct. 12. George Kellerman, 58, of Centereach, was riding a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on Horseblock Road when his motorcycle collided with a southbound 2004 Toyota that made an illegal U-turn on Horseblock Road at approximately Kellerman was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota, Jose Diaz Benitez, and his 2-year-old son, who was in a car seat in the vehicle, were not injured.

    Steven Benjamin was operating a 2004 KTM motorcycle westbound on Middle Country Road when he collided with a 2010 Jeep Liberty that had been traveling eastbound on Middle Country Road and was making a left turn onto Eastwood Boulevard at approximately 8:05 p.m. Benjamin, 26, of Selden, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Jeep, a 17-year-old female from Selden, remained at the scene and was not injured.

Soily Aparicio Santos, 33, of Centereach, was found guilty Wednesday by a Riverhead jury of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault, second-degree attempted assault, and endangering the welfare of a child, Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini said in a news release.
