    The Germantown Ice Bears co-op had an encouraging week in winning two of three games in the North Shore Conference tournament, including back-to-back decisions over the Whitefish Bay co-op on Jan. 6 and Grafton on Jan. 9, before falling to powerful Cedarburg on Jan. 10. The Ice Bears hosted the event at the Kettle Moraine Ice Center in West Bend. The two wins broke an 11 losses in 12 games streak and improved the Ice Bears to 4-12 overall.

Photo By Stephanie Jones Helped by a shutout quarter, the Muskego girls basketball team downed West Bend East 39-17 in the consolation game of the Niki Doedens Classic at Cedarburg on Dec. 23. The Warriors led 19-9 at the half and then held East without a point in the third quarter while scoring just two themselves for a 21-9 advantage. Muskego got its offense back on track in the fourth period with 18 points and coasted to the victory to earn a split in the two-day tournament.

    Parishioners from St. Francis Borgia Parish Cedarburg served "Breakfast with Baby Jesus" at the House of Peace, a Capuchin ministry that serves Milwaukee's central city on December 13. A large group of parishioners prepared a full breakfast and served the House of Peace guests at two seatings. The parishioners also had a team help with preparing House of Peace food boxes for the families.
