Riebe, 67, of Cazenovia, was arrested Dec. 21 and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while having a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and unlawful possession of marijuana; he was also ticketed for failure to keep right, unsafe lane change and failure to use designated lane. Lymen D. Mecca, 22, of Morrisville, was arrested Dec. 22 and charged with reckless endangerment in the second degree, criminal mischief and two counts of harassment in the second degree.

    Schumejda appeared in Madison County Court on Dec. 10, during which he admitted to killing Bradstreet but said he did not know it was her at the time. He admitted in court that after stabbing what he thought was an intruder in his home multiple times, he gathered the couple's two children, ages 2 and 4 at the time, and drove Bradstreet's car to his mother's home in Delaware County, where he was later arrested.
