    Robert Perry Jr. was arrested Friday for calling in a bomb threat to a business at the Port of Catoosa on Thursday, January 29. Rogers County District Attorney Matt Ballard told KRMG Perry was an employee at the business and was dissatisfied with something. Perry called in the threat while he was still at the port.

    Authorities say a 72-year-old woman died in a house fire in Catoosa while her grandson managed to escape the burning home. Catoosa Fire chief Dennis Benton told reporters that 72-year-old Irene Cunningham was pulled from the burning home on Sunday by firefighters and flown to a Tulsa hospital where she later died.

    Someone phoned in a bomb threat saying a device would explode within the hour at a business in the Port of Catoosa, and investigators say the call came from inside the business itself. Chief Deputy Shane Rhames with Rogers County Sheriff's Office tells KRMG the call came in to the 911 center about 11:10 a.m. Deputies responded to the business, which was evacuated while the Tulsa Police Department Bomb Squad was called to the scene.

    The Tulsa Port of Catoosa says shipping tonnage for 2014 was 334,000 tons lower than in 2013 but that tonnage for the year was still the fourth best on record. The port says nearly all of the decline can be attributed to a lack of crude oil moving through the port.
