    Four people were seriously injured after a six vehicle pile-up near Caruthersville, Missouri closed both southbound lanes of I-55 near mile marker 13 on Sunday, May 29. The crash occurred around noon Sunday after Joann S. Dixon, 40, of New Orleans, stopped in the roadway. The driver behind her, John A. Chapman, 57, of Olla, Louisiana, then hit Dixon's vehicle, causing her to crash into the four motorcycles in front of her.

According to a Facebook post by Caruthersville police, the men in the car were waving two 11-year-old girls over to them and then asked them inappropriate questions.

    According to Hayti Police Chief Paul Sheckell, the incident happened at the intersection of South 7th and East Monroe around 10:17 p.m. The victim, 28-year-old John Thomas, was taken to the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital where he died early Tuesday morning. Police have not released the suspect's name.

In the early morning hours of April 8, officers with the Steele Police Department noticed a suspicious vehicle on McCollum Street. When officers ran the vehicle's license plate numbers through the Pemiscot County Dispatch, they learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Cape Girardeau.
