    In Lewis County Court on Monday, Carthage resident Andrew J. Perry, 44, 10944 NY-26, pleaded not guilty to all four drug-related counts presented against him. The court charged Mr. Perry with one count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and one count of fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, along with one count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Perry, 44, of 10944 Route 26, was taken to Lewis County Jail, Lowville, and a report by WWNY TV-7 indicated that police and West Carthage firefighters at the scene had reportedly found methamphetamine-making materials. Police on Saturday said they had little information on the case but that an arraignment, possibly on a sealed indictment, was expected Monday.

Ms. Thesier thanked everyone on the prosecution's team for “getting my family this far,” but said “it's now turn to do what's right.” She further described her brother, a 62-year-old Navy veteran, as “a kind and loving man, but also a very lonely one, and far too trusting.” Ms.

    To combat the number one cause of death in the United States, Carthage Area Hospital offered heart-healthy information to about 75 people who attended the annual Key to Your Health Luncheon on Feb. 22. “Prevention is the key,” hospital spokeswoman Taylour L. Scanlin said in her opening remarks. “We want to set you up for success.” The luncheon, held at the Elks 1762 lodge, featured a heart-healthy meal of roasted pork, broccoli, sauteed greens, roasted fingerling potatoes, rolls and fresh fruit salad.
