Glazier pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sex act in May for an incident that occurred while he was employed as a registered nurse in Samaritan Medical Center's mental health unit.

The bike rack was made by welding students Damian Hance , Stevin Baldwin and Kaleb Weller as part of the New York State SkillsUSA competition in Syracuse on April 27. The Bohlen Tech Center was allowed to keep the bike rack after the state welding competition and decided to donate it to the city.

    In Jefferson County Court Monday, Matthew J. Coates, 27, Carthage, was sentenced to 10 years of probation after pleading guilty to promoting a sexual performance by a child on June 2. He admitted that in May 2016 he uploaded a pornographic video onto the internet which featured a girl under 17 years old. He admitted that he possessed three or more items used to make the drug in the town of Champion on May 3. Mr. Wright was convicted of fifth-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance in 2014, and will be sentenced as a second felony offender on Aug. 28. Ms.

    Visitors to the Lewis County Historical Society this summer may check out a few different displays, including one recapping the 114-year history of the former Climax Manufacturing Co. “I would love to have ex-employees come in and just identify stuff,” said Jerry E. Perrin, the society's office manager and curator at the society's headquarters at 7556 S. State St. The display in the society's Blue Room includes a painting of the now-defunct manufacturer's Lowville plant, old promotional materials and products, company newsletters, newspaper articles and a table full of pictures of company picnics, sports teams and other events and activities, primarily from the 1980s through the 2000s.

    Emergency crews were called to the intersection of State and North James streets around 3:45 p.m. Bystanders who witnessed the incident said a male driver of a white sedan ran a stop sign while heading west on North James Street and struck the right side of the woman's SUV, which was traveling north on State Street, causing it to flip onto the curb next to the village post office. The driver of the white vehicle was not injured, but the woman was trapped in her vehicle.

An accomplice, Rebeka A. Caplicki, 24, South James Street, Carthage, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary, with sentencing set for Aug. 4. Damion R. Dennee, 21, of 5651 Greig Road, Glenfield, was sentenced to four years in state prison on a charge of third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, but Judge Daniel R. King recommended that he participate in the state's six-month, military-style shock incarceration program as an alternative to incarceration.
