Fowler and the Canes will travel to take on Thomson in the second round, beginning with a doubleheader today at 5 p.m. The Cartersville High baseball team breezed through its first-round Class 4A state playoff series, sweeping Redan at Richard Bella SField and outscoring its opponent 23-3 in the two games.
