The eight-week lecture-based academy will give citizens the opportunity to become familiar with the mission and operation of the MSP, understand the procedures troopers follow, increase their awareness of law enforcement's role in the community and get to know personnel at the Caro Post, according to a press release.     Hundreds of jobs in Caro have been saved and 200 more may be added now that a three- to four-month tug-of-war has reached a resolution between Tuscola County and the state. Michigan Sen. Mike Green, R-Mayville, and Michigan Rep. Ned Canfield, R-Sebewaing, announced Tuesday, June 20, that a new regional psychiatric hospital will be built in Caro at the current location of the Caro Regional Center, Tuscola County's second largest employer.
