    A Carnegie woman who pleaded guilty to stealing more than $90,000 from student accounts while she worked in the Keystone Oaks High School cafeteria was sentenced to jail time and must repay the money, a judge ruled earlier this week. Kathleen E. Smith, 56, who worked for a company that managed the cafeteria, is serving six to 12 months in jail, but after 60 days, will be eligible for alternative housing, according to online court records.

From today through Thursday, a full outbound closure from Green Tree to Interstate 79 will begin at 10 p.m., ending by 6 a.m. the next day, and single-lane restrictions will occur inbound each night during the same hours.

    Ten months of hassles for Parkway West drivers will begin tonight, when the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will close the on- and off-ramps at Carnegie. The ramps will be closed at 10 p.m. and remain closed through late December for the second year of a $72.8 million parkway reconstruction project that will stretch from Interstate 79 to the Fort Pitt Tunnel.
