According to a Carlsbad Police Department official, officers and emergency responders were called to the high school after another student found the note during the seventh hour period - around 2 p.m. - on Jan. 27. She faces one count of unlawful bomb scare, a fourth degree felony which carries stiff fines and possible jail time.

David Irigoyen, 19, of Loving is being held on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after authorities said he brandished a knife at an employee of the McDonald's at 327 S. Canal St. The criminal complaint stated that Irigoyen was at the restaurant where he used to work at around 3:30 p.m. to pick up a paycheck.
