Mullins were sentenced Monday for committing violations against the Internal Revenue Service, which involved their personal income tax returns and the corporate income tax returns of Geocore Drilling Inc., a IRS news release states. Chad Mullins, 43, was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison, three years of supervised release, was ordered to pay $280,798.68 in restitution to the IRS, jointly and severally with Julia Mullins, and was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine for impeding and obstructing the lawful functions of the IRS.

    A Crestline woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident Monday in Morrow County. According to the Mount Gilead post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred just after 5 p.m. on Ohio 61. Nicholas James Fisher, 19, of Cardington, was traveling northbound on Ohio 61, when his vehicle crossed the center line and struck a car head-on driven by Betty Christner, 76, of Crestline, who was traveling southbound on Ohio 61. Christner was pronounced dead at the scene.
