It's a program meant to help homeless veterans, and pledges to provide counseling, help with job placement and drug treatment.

    Southern Illinois University plans to appoint interim chancellors for the Carbondale and Edwardsville campuses. During a meeting Thursday in Springfield, the SIU Board of Trustees decided to search for an interim chancellor for a one-year appointment at Edwardsville, as well as an interim chancellor for a two-year term at Carbondale.
