With three weeks left in 2016, 31 Florida panthers have been killed surpassing 2015's record-setting fatal tally of 30. Over the last five years, annual panther roadkills rose from nine to over 30. Additionally, the average number of fatal vehicle strikes went from 13 per year during the late 2000s to 24 per year in the 2010s.
