    The Colorado State Patrol has identified a Canon City man who was killed on U.S. 50 and McCormick Parkway Saturday evening while attempting to cross the highway. Justin Benfield, 71, was crossing an unlighted portion of the highway in a north to south direction when CSP says he walked in front a Ford Escape that was traveling eastbound at about 8:50 p.m. The Ford Escape hit the pedestrian and both came to rest in the right eastbound lane.
