    Former Columbiana County Magistrate, Judge Kathleen Bartlett lost her bid for re-election to the Ohio Seventh District Court of Appeals on Tuesday. Judge David D'Apolito of Canfield, in a county-by-county breakdown won in only Mahoning County, but it was enough votes to defeat Bartlett, who carried Columbiana County, as well as Belmont, Carroll, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe and Noble Counties.

    An East Palestine man's medical license was suspended this week because of an affair he had with a co-worker while he worked for the Counseling Center between 2013 and 2015 that included writing her prescriptions for an antidepressant, antibiotics, birth control and other non-controlled substances without keeping a medical record. Dr. Christopher Seman's license to practice osteopathic medicine and surgery in the state of Ohio has been suspended for at least one year following a hearing that included testimony and evidence from both Seman and his co-worker who later became his patient, according to the public record on file with the State Medical Board of Ohio.
