    The village of Canajoharie has received a $6 million award from New York State,t which will allow for the demolition and remediation at the former Beech-Nut facility, Montgomery County Executive Matthew Ossenfort announced Monday. The village is the only project in the state to receive a "special project" designation.

Smith was processed at state police headquarters in Fonda without incident and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Palatine court at a later time. GLOVERSVILLE - Colleen I. Ken Rose, CEO and director of Montgomery County Business Development Center, appeared before the Montgomery County Legislature on Tuesday to answer any questions regarding pending legislative action in relation to the site, noting a letter of resolution was needed between the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, the Empire State Development, Montgomery County and the village of Canajoharie in order to move onto the next step of cleanup.
