    On Saturday, April 9th, KC's Family Tae Kwon Do will hold their annual Black Belt Test and Extravaganza Show at the Camp Verde Multi-Use Complex Auditorium at 3 p.m. The show on Saturday is the final part of a 3-day long exam for KC's martial artists who have been training for 3-6 years. 12 candidates will be trying to qualify for their First Degree Black Belt, and a dozen more will test in front of three martial arts Masters to advance to their next rank.

    Three weeks into a new high school track and field season, Sedona-Red Rock junior Hannah Ringel sits atop Arizona's Division III rankings in the shot put while Mingus Union sophomore Hannah DeVore is making a name for herself as one of the division's best all-purpose hurdlers. With an early season throw of 38-feet, 3.5 inches in the shot put, Ringel is Division III's top-ranked shot putter and ranks second overall in all divisions behind Mountain Pointe's Kayleigh Conlon, whose best throw of 45-feet, 8-inches ranks as the 10th best girls shot put in Arizona history.
