    Lockheed Martin has manufactured and delivered the first modernized Tactical Missile System missile to the U.S. Army from its Camden, Arkansas, production facility. As part of the U.S. Army's TACMS Service Life Extension Program inventory refurbishment effort, the modernized missile includes updated guidance electronics and added capability to defeat area targets without leaving behind unexploded ordnance.

The first Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System Alternative Warhead rocket has rolled off the production line at Lockheed Martin's Camden, Ark., manufacturing facility. The GMLRS Alternative Warhead was designed to engage the same target set and achieve the same area-effects requirement as the old MLRS submunition warheads, but without the lingering danger of unexploded ordnance.

    Lockheed Martin has received a $331.8 million contract from the U.S. Army for Lot 11 production of Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets. The contract calls for the production of GMLRS Alternative Warhead rockets, GMLRS Unitary rockets and Reduced-Range Practice Rockets for the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps and for Foreign Military Sales to Israel, Finland, Jordan and Singapore.
