    Fire crews responded about 5:30 a.m. to a report of a fire burning in an attached garage at a home in the 4000 block of C Street, Washougal, the department said in a statement. Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, although there was "significant smoke and fire damage" to items in the garage, and smoke damage throughout the rest of the structure, according to the release.
