    A 22-year-old woman is behind bars on $500,000 bond after lawmen caught her using a stolen credit with at least 100 more stolen cards in her possession. Dazshona Williams, of North Carolina, was arrested in Cahaba Heights on Monday, according to Vestavia Hills police.

    Having gotten his start as a volunteer at Palmerdale Fire Department in 1979, Ledbetter then got his first paying job at the Cahaba Heights Fire Department in 1985, moving to the Bessemer Fire Department in 1988, and finally calling the Trussville Fire Department home since February of 1998. Ledbetter said he got into firefighting almost as if by accident, as his cousin started out at a volunteer fire department, and he followed suit.

    The Alabama Supreme Court has upheld a $4 million judgment against a Cahaba Heights day care owner convicted of sexually abusing a girl who attended the center. Al.com reports that the court on Friday upheld the civil judgment against Robert Eugene Frost and the now-closed Christian's Daycare & Learning Academy Inc. Frost was convicted in 2011 of sexually abusing a girl at the day care.
