    All four of Byron's public schools went into a "soft" lockdown on Thursday, April 9 after district officials received a report that a "wanted" individual was on foot near the 900 block of Second Street NW in Byron. That location put the suspect closest to Byron Middle School, but superintendent Jeff Elstad said all four schools, including the high school, elementary school and community education center were placed on lockdown because some students travel to the different campuses for different reasons.
