    A Mount Vernon woman was killed in a two-car crash Monday night in rural Skagit County west of Burlington. A Washington State Patrol report indicates Karen Wolf, 60, apparently thought that traffic was clear when she pulled in front of a Sedro-Woolley driver who had the right-of-way at the corner of Josh Wilson and Farm-to-Market roads near the waterfront enclave of Bay View.

"During the on-scene investigation, detectives were able to collect several pieces of lighting material which are believed to be from the right front headlamp of fleeing vehicle," said Trooper Heather Axtman, WSP spokeswoman.

The Seattle Times reports a sheriff's investigation confirmed a ruling by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner Office that 20-year-old Arcan Cetin's manner of death on April 16 was suicide, apparently by hanging himself.
