    Most of the Town of Clarksville lost power Thursday after a huge thunderstorm swept through the area around 6 p.m. High winds and rain cut a diagonal path from the Clarksville Fine Arts Center through the southeast part of town, from Eighth and Fourth Streets, taking out several huge trees and leaving a path of destruction along the way. Toppled trees brought down power lines, causing widespread outages.

Glass items were smashed, tables and chairs were overturned and broken into pieces, and the place was flooded.
