    In response to the Thursday Dispatch article "Signs of hope ahead?" I had to laugh when I read that the state of Ohio plans to spend $1 million to promote Buckeye Lake. Even years before it was determined the dam was unsafe and the water level was ordered to be held at unusable levels, Buckeye Lake has been used as a septic-tank leech bed for the hundreds of properties lining the lake banks with aged, crushed and cracked septic tanks and piping.
