Deb Butler , would allow Brunswick County to increase the maximum for fire fees paid on a single-family home or manufactured or mobile home, plus up to five acres of surrounding land.

    Since the beginning of last season, the West Brunswick High School varsity baseball team has leaned on the powerful right arm of senior Jonathan Carlyle. The first round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 3-A state playoffs was no different as Carlyle tossed a complete game to lead the Trojans to a 4-1 road victory over Western Alamance on Wednesday, May 10. After a 231-mile trek to Elon for its first-round contest, West raced out to an early lead behind timely hitting.
