    Heavy trucks will soon be barred from using a bridge linking Brunswick and Topsham over top of the Androscoggin River after inspections revealed the rapid deterioration of structural steel. The Maine Department of Transportation announced on Monday that a 25-ton limit will be posted on the Frank J. Wood Bridge beginning Thursday morning.

    Police in Brunswick are searching for two suspects who stabbed a 39-year-old Ohio man over the weekend near the Maine town's downtown business district. Commander Marc Hagan says the initial call reporting the stabbing on Market Lane was received around 2:17 p.m. Sunday.
