    BROOKLAND, AR - A man was airlifted to a Memphis hospital following a crash in Brookland. The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. Monday on E. Matthews St. and Hayes St. Brookland Police Chief Mark Rusher says the vehicle was headed west on E. Matthews when it went off the road and into a ditch.

In one day, some areas of Brookland saw up to three inches of rain in a short period of time, which brought water over roadways and into carports. When smaller ditches fill up with debris during a strong thunderstorm with heavy rain it can cause blockage and give flooding issues.
