    BROOKLAND, AR - Craighead County sheriff's deputies are investigating a copper theft. According to an incident report, a Brookland homeowner told deputies someone removed all the copper from his outdoor air conditioning unit between 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. on March 8. The copper has a value of $4,000, according to the sheriff's department.

    PARAGOULD, AR - The investigation is still ongoing in a crash that happened along Highway 412 east of Paragould on Dec. 1. According to Bill Sadler, the public information officer for the Arkansas State Police, the crash happened around 6:50 p.m. James C. Heartsill, 53, of Greenville, AL was driving a commercial carrier truck eastbound when he hit Jerry Davenport, 55, of Brookland. Davenport was walking eastbound along or near the shoulder of the highway.
