    The DaPonte String Quartet continues its 25th summer season with Then and Now, a seven-concert series that gallops through classical music from its earliest foundations to a fresh, hot-off-the presses contemporary work. The series opened July 23 in Richmond and runs through Aug. 13. The Midcoast concert will take place Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ocean View Grange Hall, 435 Port Clyde Road/Route 131, Martinsville; tickets are $25, free for those younger than 21. The varied program includes a world premiere commissioned by the DaPonte String Quartet and/or works by Bach, Beethoven and Mendelssohn.
