    Authorities say a 23-year-old man was wearing earphones and walking with his back to an oncoming Amtrak passenger train when he was struck and killed last week in a Rochester suburb. Police in the town of Brighton told local media Monday that it appears the earphones prevented Garrett Magee from hearing the train that was approaching at 76 mph last Friday afternoon as he walked on the tracks in his hometown.
