    The New Jersey Attorney General's Office wants state officials removed from the list of defendants named in the wrongful death and civil rights lawsuit filed in the shooting death of a Jerame Reid by Bridgeton police last year. Two months ago, Conrad Benedetto, the attorney representing Reid's wife , Lawanda Hartsfield-Reid, amended the complaint to include Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman and Elie Honig, director of the Division of Criminal Justice.

    BRIDGETON - A city man is accused of shooting and killing his cousin on Independence Day, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office. Terrance Height, 38, of Bridgeton was charged Friday with murder, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
